Wardrobe promises- 2016!

...And we are now in 2016. How did 2015 fly by in flash of light? With the passing of time at such speed it does scare me to some extend yet, at the same time I am excited about the New Year, with New Dreams, Fresh Vibes and a much Minimalistic Wardrobe.

As I slowly unpacked my holiday luggage after a week from returning, I knew it was time to start a detox plan for my wardrobe thus two piles was created. One that was o be given to Emmy's Mom's charity shop. The next pile was to be given to a lady who recycles old clothes and sells them at random flea markets. In return I could earn money for my secret stash or alternatively shopping vouchers from a local grocery store. I chose the former.

Key seasonal trends were however kept as staple pieces so that I can style them/ recreate them to my best interest. Keeping these in mind I have curated a few pieces in my wardrobe that I am not letting go {atleast for now}.

1) Wardrobe staple: Black Midi Skirt (BMS)

                                                         Skirt: Reformation| Ankle Booties: ZARA

                                                       Skirt: Reformation| Ankle Booties: ZARA

A no brainer as an all year around staple piece. This could be styled in a million ways and you would never be bored with this investment piece.

2) Denim Flare:

Blouse, Scarf, Denims: ZARA| Shoes: Charles & Keith| Handbag: ModCloth

I had been on a look out for that perfect high rise , slim fit flares that elongates my legs. Flares continues to be a big business at the moment. When styling this trend try to keep the look minimal with a modern update.

3) Maxi Dresses

Maxi Dresses are a dream, they are comfortable and fabulous all at once. Modern, Romance, Bohemian numbers is what I am stocking up on this year moving forward.

4) Shoulders & Scarves:

Exposed shoulders does update a look instantaneously and adding a skinny scarf to this look is hands-down my favorite. Continue to pair them or wear them as separates and this would spruce up your outfit.

Fashion is constantly evolving as trends keep making their way in and out. Always remember to dress to compliment your body type. Wishing you all many moments and have fun dressing yourselves up.

Stay Beautiful,

Soma
